Delco Music Co. Lesson Policies/Agreement
1. Parties Involved
This agreement is between Delco Music Co. (hereinafter referred to as "Delco Music Co." or "Instructor") and the student (or legal guardian if the student is under 18), hereinafter referred to as "Student."
2. Lesson Details
Scheduling: Lessons are offered in increments of 30, 45, or 60 minutes and will take place at an agreed-upon time and location (in-home or virtual). Scheduling is subject to availability.
3. Tuition & Payment
Payment Schedule: Tuition is due on or before the first lesson of each month for the full month of lessons.
Billing Platform: Payments will be automatically billed each month via MyMusicStaff. Scheduling, cancellations, and lesson changes will also be managed through MyMusicStaff.
Late Payments: Payments more than 7 days past due may be subject to a $20 late fee. Lessons may be paused until payment is received.
Rate Adjustments: Lesson rates will be discussed prior to enrollment and may be subject to periodic adjustments with notice.
4. Attendance & Cancellation Policy
Student Cancellations: A 24-hour notice is required to reschedule a lesson. A maximum of two reschedules per quarter (every three months) is allowed.
No-Show Policy: No-call/no-show lessons are forfeited and will not be rescheduled or refunded.
Instructor Cancellations: If the Instructor needs to cancel, a make-up lesson will be scheduled. If rescheduling is not possible, a credit will be applied toward the next month's tuition.
Excessive Cancellations: Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in termination of lessons at the discretion of Delco Music Co.
5. Expectations & Practice
Practice Commitment: Music is fun, but progress requires practice! Students should aim for consistent practice between lessons.
Lesson Preparedness: Students should have their instrument tuned, necessary materials (books, sheet music, etc.), and a positive attitude at each lesson.
Instructor Compatibility: We strive to match students with the best available teacher. However, if at any point you wish to switch instructors, let us know. No reason is required, and our goal is to best serve you!
Additional Notes
Performance Opportunities: Students may have opportunities to participate in recitals, showcases, and community events.
Music Videos: Students will have the opportunity to make music videos in lessons, after the basics are learned.
